I came across the following chart recently on one of my BFF’s sites, Visual Capitalist, and thought to share given its potential implications as a roadmap for mega wealth. The chart looked at how the asset composition of a person changes as net worth increases from $10,000 to a $1 Billion. Now, I use the term roadmap loosely. This chart is presented purely for infotainment.

For purposes of this exercise, net worth has been classed as the assets that a person has remaining (such as savings, stocks, mutual funds, bonds, real estate, vehicles, retirement accounts) after subtracting all liabilities (including student loans, mortgages, credit cards and other forms of debt). The Richest People of All Time – Hall of Fame

Given all the recent talk about Jeff Bezos becoming the world’s richest person, I thought it would be worthwhile looking back through history to work out who have been the richest people of all time to grace this Earth.

Conveniently, I came across the following graphic from Visual Capital, which does the job for us. If you haven’t come across Visual Capital, they do a great job of sharing quality content in graphical format. I would highly recommend subscribing if you haven’t done so previously.
